Granny Granola

This is a recent recipe from our Mini-Chef Course, which was great fun and so easy for the kids to put together in order to make a Mummy-pleasing breakfast! Of course you already know that you can substitue all sorts of seed and nuts for the others- it's designed to bring out the creative in Chef, mini or otherwise!

Let's get started!

Heat the oven to 150C. In a large bowl mix together the oil, maple syrup, honey and vanilla extract. Add in the oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and almonds and stir well. Tip onto two baking sheets and bake in the oven for 15 minutes and then mix in the almonds, dried berries and coconut and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Remove and then scrape off onto a flat tray until completely cooled. The granola can be stored in an airtight container for up to a month!
